So two independent Los Cabos properties land within a few thousand dollars of each other at 50 guests: about $10,300\u2013$13,500 pre-tax at the mid-tier. That is a genuinely reliable planning anchor, and it is a very different number from the “$37,500 to $50,000” you will read elsewhere. We will come back to where those larger figures come from, because they are not wrong either.<\/p>\n

\"Wedding<\/p>\n

Tax, service charge, and the day of the week<\/h2>\n

Two adjustments apply to every number above, and to every number you will be quoted anywhere in Mexico.<\/p>\n

Tax and service charge.<\/strong> Published wedding prices in Mexico are almost always pre-tax. Expect roughly 16% tax plus a 15% service charge<\/strong> to be added \u2014 about 31% on top. That is why the $10,295 build above is really closer to $13,500. When you are comparing two quotes, the first question is always whether the number includes tax and service, because one resort quoting gross and another quoting net will look like a $3,000 difference that does not exist.<\/p>\n

The day of the week.<\/strong> Resort wedding pricing is tiered, and published rates are usually the midweek rate. At Hyatt Ziva Vallarta<\/a>, for example, the same Lavish & Opulent package is $6,089 Monday to Thursday and $6,669 from Thursday noon through Sunday; the Luxury package moves from $13,553 to $14,222. Saturdays cost more everywhere. If your date is flexible, a Thursday wedding is one of the largest single savings available to you, and it costs you nothing in quality.<\/p>\n

The season.<\/strong> The same pattern applies across the calendar \u2014 low season can be 10\u201315% cheaper than peak for an identical package. Cabo’s peak runs roughly November through May.<\/p>\n

Cutting your guest list will not save what you think<\/h2>\n
