The day was crammed with incredible florals that completely played off textural elements like velvet bridesmaid dresses and foliage.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The bride, Sara, looked stunning in her All Who Wander raine gown paired with the nieve jacket for a bridal look that’s equal parts boho, whimsical and romantic. After trying on several dresses at Boca Raton Bridal<\/a>, Sara, with the assistance of her mother, opted for this one-of-a-kind A-line wedding gown with leafy details that flawlessly matched her fall-inspired wedding theme.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sara and Julio\u2019s entire love story is solely heartwarming, starting with the delayed proposal that included a family heirloom to the primary look before the marriage ceremony. Tell us about your proposal!\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n

Julio knew that I wanted my grandmother\u2019s engagement ring. It’s a round diamond with pear-shaped sapphires on either side. He asked my grandmother to bring it when she came over us for Christmas in 2019. He had a plan to propose once we were in Paris the next June, but she didn\u2019t feel comfortable leaving the ring with him for six months, so she ended up taking it back to Recent York along with her after the vacations.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Then the COVID-19 pandemic hit, so we needed to cancel our trip and Julio was unable to fly to Recent York to get the ring. Finally, in July of 2021, we were capable of visit my family in Recent York, and we made plans to go to breakfast with my mom and my grandmother. My grandmother brought the ring along with her to breakfast and secretly handed it off to Julio under the table.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Then Julio got as much as \u201cgo to the lavatory.\u201d As a substitute, he went behind me and got down on one knee. I used to be so shocked and caught off guard, I didn\u2019t think he would actually propose in front of my family! I wish I could remember more of what he said, but I just about blacked out with shock and couldn\u2019t stop crying for the remaining of the meal. Unfortunately, my grandmother passed before our wedding, so it means so far more to me now that she was included in and experienced our proposal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Describe your bridal style. How did you wish to look in your wedding day? Tell us about your dress-shopping experience.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n

My dress shopping experience was overwhelming, as I wasn\u2019t exactly sure what I used to be in search of, but I knew I wanted lace, not a giant skirt or train and preferably something with sleeves.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

I had two of my bridesmaids and my mom with me. I should have tried on almost 20 dresses inside my appointment. At the top of the appointment, I used to be trying to make a decision between two dresses, and my mom just pulled me aside. She asked me to shut my eyes and movie my wedding day after which asked me what dress I used to be wearing at that moment. Immediately I answered the All Who Wander raine gown.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Our wedding was outdoors in the autumn, and all of our colours were fall-inspired. I wanted my dress to be beautiful but additionally slot in with the outdoor, relaxed atmosphere of the day. I knew I wanted a more boho-chic bridal style. I didn\u2019t want anything about my wedding to be traditional, especially the dress. Because I’m a much bigger woman, especially within the chest area, I added straps to the robe using the additional fabric from the hem. This allowed me to not must wear a bra with the dress, which was totally amazing and unexpected.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

I also took within the sleeves on the jacket to make them tighter and more flattering to my body shape. I wore the jacket again with a white jumpsuit to a celebration we had back in Miami a number of weeks after our wedding. I really like the jacket a lot!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tell us more about your wedding. What were your theme and colours? How did you make your wedding personal to your love story?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n

We got married in October in Martha\u2019s Vineyard in Massachusetts, which is a really special place for me! I spent my summers and most holidays growing up going to Martha\u2019s Vineyard, so it was phenomenal to me that Julio agreed to get married there \u2013 especially since his family was traveling all the best way from Grand Cayman.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

I wanted the theme to actually just be fall. We had all the autumn colours. Julio wore a green suit with a champagne tie, his groomsmen wore champagne suits with green ties. I had 4 bridesmaids that wore a mixture of terracotta and rust-colored velvet dresses and a person of honor who wore the identical champagne suit because the groomsmen but with a rust tie to match my maid of honor.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Our wedding was very small and intimate, with only 28 people in total. We wanted the day to be about us and have a probability to enjoy every second of it with the people who find themselves truly closest to us\u2014 so we settled on a small destination wedding. The girl who officiated our wedding personalized our ceremony and vows to our love story, and we each shared personal vows that we wrote ourselves in front of everyone. We had been friends for 12 years and dating for the last six years \u2014 I wasn\u2019t sure if actually getting married would feel any different! The incontrovertible fact that we kept the marriage so small allowed the main focus to be truly on our love story, and I loved every second of it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The marriage was right after Hurricane Ian, and it had been raining all weekend, but thankfully on the actual wedding day, the rain stopped. It was, nonetheless, incredibly windy, but that made for much more beautiful photos. We were still capable of have our ceremony outside and our dinner under the tent before moving inside for dancing. Although we live in Miami at once, we each love fall weather, and I\u2019m really glad it worked out that we got to experience a real fall weekend in Recent England for our wedding.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What was probably the most special memory from that day?\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n

Essentially the most special a part of the day for me was when Julio got choked up during his vows. I had never seen him really cry within the six years we\u2019d been together. His lip began quivering, and he couldn\u2019t get through his vows until his brother got here over and gave him a little bit pep talk. It was so sweet, I’ll always remember that feeling! It was once I really realized how much he loved me!\u00a0<\/p>\n
