The charm of Italy can’t be denied, and amongst Elegante by Michelle J couples it stays one of the vital popular destination wedding decisions. We pride ourselves on being experts in Italian wedding planning, delivering distinctly dazzling celebrations throughout the country. Corine and Neil selected the renaissance romance of Carmignano for his or her Tuscan borgo wedding last summer, and now we wish you to experience it too.Â
Â
The Artimino estate is just 20km from beautiful Florence, but feels exclusive and secluded surrounded by boundless countryside. It consists of a medieval borgo to accommodate guests, and Villa la Ferdinanda which is a UNESCO heritage site. The truly special thing about this as a marriage venue is the view, which is breathtaking from every window, wall and vantage point.Â
Â
Â
Corine and Neil fell in love with Artimino and its suitability for accommodating all their guests in a single place, and the night before their wedding we threw a casual welcome party partly of what felt like home for the weekend. On the restaurant guests were served hearty, casual Italian fayre in a help-yourself style, and enjoyed a balmy evening with views across the hills to the Villa. Pre-wedding events like this are one of the vital wonderful ways to welcome your guests to a destination wedding, and permit everybody to calm down into their surroundings before the massive day.Â
Â
The celebrations at Corine and Neil’s Tuscan borgo wedding were a magical mixing of cultures, with Corine’s Filipino family and Neil’s British one coming together. We incorporated elements of every culture’s wedding traditions throughout the weekend, forming a phenomenal brew of affection and anticipation for the long run.Â
Â
Â
On the morning of the marriage Corine got ready together with her bridesmaids within the borgo, before taking a white automotive through its quaint streets (past the ice cream parlour and tiny post office!) to the villa, where Neil had spent the morning together with his groomsmen. Artimino’s Villa la Ferdinanda is special because, despite being one constructing, it is feasible to create areas for every a part of the marriage day that feel truly unique.Â
Â
Â
We began with the ceremony to the rear of the villa, with a petal-lined aisle resulting in a floral arch by Giardindo delle Fate Flower Design, our wonderful floristry partners in Tuscany. Katie Keen of True Blue Ceremonies wrote the script for his or her touching symbolic ceremony, the standard alternative for our destination wedding couples.
Discover more about the differing types of ceremony available to your destination wedding in our recent blog.
Â
Â
Guests could then flow naturally around to where Delizia Ricevimenti were serving up an aperitivo feast of Italian finger foods, drenched in golden light from the setting sun. We at all times recommend later ceremony times at destination weddings in hot countries – nobody desires to say ‘I do’ under the burning mid-afternoon sun! As guests sat right down to their traditional Italian dinner, the sunshine was simply beautiful – as was the view.Â
Â
Â
Artimino’s Villa boasts a very special outlook, and we arrange the dinner with a view like no other. It was necessary to let the environment speak for themselves, so we opted for pared back table settings in timeless foliage and white florals, surrounded by fairy lighting so as to add to the romantic atmosphere because the sun went down.Â
Â
Â
Corine and Neil’s Tuscan borgo wedding wouldn’t have been complete without the millefoglie show, during which a conventional Italian wedding cake of layered pastry, cream, fruits and icing sugar is built to music in front of guests – an actual spectacle! One in every of our favourite tricks up the Elegante by Michelle J sleeve is to time the setting off of the fireworks to the precise moment our couples cut their cake, and we did just that. We might have shed a comfortable tear or two alongside the guests.Â
Â
Â
To proceed the party, Corine and Neil and their family members ascended the impressive staircase of the Villa and continued the festivities inside until late. It’s at all times such a special feeling knowing that a genuinely lovely couple had the day they’d been dreaming of, and ceaselessly a pleasure working in Italy.Â
