How did you select your photographer?
We selected Hannah from a suggestion from a friend. After having our wedding postponed twice resulting from Covid, lockdown lifted and we had every week to finalise all the small print! Thankfully at very short notice Hannah fitted us into her bookings.
Were you pleased along with your wedding photographer? Do tell… we love an excellent review!
YES!! To say we never actually met before the marriage, we didn’t have a likelihood to essentially undergo the style or shots we desired to create – she captured every moment perfectly. We couldn’t consider how well she captured our personalities within the shots without really knowing either of us!
How did the pandemic affect your wedding plans? Do you could have any advice to share with couples planning their weddings right away?
We had initially planned to have a small registry office ceremony after which a bigger outdoor ceremony surrounded by family and friends later that day. Unfortunately resulting from covid we needed to cancel our day, we rescheduled for September but then decided to postpone to 2021 resulting from how the covid situation was. We decided to go ahead with the small ceremony this yr – because at the top of the day, getting married was the predominant part! We now have decided to have a bigger celebration next yr for our first wedding anniversary (any excuse for Amy to purchase a second dress). In these strange times just remember the predominant reason behind every thing, and thats because you would like to get married – don’t get too hung up on the restrictions because you may at all times have fun these at a later date. I’m still waiting for that first dance!
Tell us about your venue – what made this place special for you?
As we only had every week to finalise our wedding we selected to have a small ceremony at our local registry office. It was super small, so small there was only 10 of us allowed within the room!
Did you’re keen on wearing your outfits? How was the dress / suit shopping experience?
We each actually purchased our outfits over a yr before the large day – due to covid they sat hidden away for a wee while. Thankfully Amy’s dress still fitted (with a bit of help from a friend to get that zip up) & Luke and Casey’s suits were perfect!
As cake lovers here at English Wedding we’d LOVE to know who made your cake, and the way delicious it was?
We actually had a detailed family friend make our cake and she or he did a completely incredible job!! Luke prefers a classic Victoria sponge, whereas Amy is more of a chocolate fan. So she made a two tier cake with each flavour and so they blended beautifully! Thanks Becky!!
