From starting to finish, Kasey and Brittany’s love story is full of personal and meaningful moments — and their wedding day was equally as special! Family love is engraved in every milestone, from the proposal to the marriage reception. With the assistance of SG Weddings and Events, Kasey and Brittany tied the knot in an exquisite celebration in Kalispell, Montana.
During their wedding day, the couple paid homage to their family members who were gone, especially their mothers. With various little tributes and private details making an appearance on their attire — Brittany wore an all-black tux ensemble for a stunning contrast against Kasey’s beautiful Martina Liana Style 1338 dress in a chic ivory shade and sparkly accents.

Tell us about your proposal…
My wife and I actually have known one another since 2008. We began dating in 2011, and she or he proposed on Recent Yr’s Eve in 2019. After my sister spilled the beans during Christmas 2018 that Brittany desired to propose on July 4th, our favourite holiday, Brittany was so mad that she didn’t propose on that date and even told me she didn’t know if she would propose anytime soon. That Christmas, I traveled across Montana to spend Christmas with my family, so my wife and I spent Christmas apart.
After I returned home after Christmas, I used to be extremely sick. My dad planned to travel to where we lived on Recent Yr’s to see my then-girlfriend and provides her the gifts she was not in a position to open on Christmas. My wife had made plans for us to exit on Recent Years Even along with her twin brother, his girlfriend, my father, my brother, and my sister.
My sister knew Brittany planned to propose, and she or he tried to encourage me to decorate up for dinner, but I just didn’t have the energy, being so sick. I used to be superb going to dinner in a sweater, jeans, no makeup, and my glasses. Besides, it was just dinner with family—why did we want to decorate up?!
Once everyone arrived at our house, I used to be wanting to go have dinner and get back home where I could crawl back into bed. Brittany asked if I desired to open our Christmas gifts before we went. Brittany and I actually have a practice where we buy one another an ornament every yr, so when she asked which I desired to open first, I said the ornament. It was an exquisite glass ornament with one among my favorite pictures of us. At first look, I didn’t see the writing on the ornament. Brittany then instructed me to carry it as much as the sunshine, and that’s after I saw it “Engaged 2019” I turned and saw her down on one knee in front of my dad and our siblings. They were all in on it and caught all the proposal on camera. My ring was probably the most beautiful emerald-cut diamond I had ever seen!

How did you realize that the Martina Liana Style 1338 was the one?
I might describe my bridal style as classy, elegant and sexy. I desired to feel beautiful on my wedding day with just the proper amount of sexy and glamour. My dress shopping experience is a day I’ll truly always remember! After almost a yr being engaged, I finally booked an appointment with Belle En Blanc in Billings, Montana, in November of 2021. Billings is a two-hour drive from where I live in Miles City, Montana, so we decided to make it a weekend trip.
We invited our bridal party, our fathers, and my big sister. We planned for Brittany to go suit-shopping along with her bridesmen and our dads while I shopped for my dress with my bridesmaids. It was going to be an exquisite weekend of wedding planning with our closest family and friends.
We booked their suit appointment at a distinct bridal shop in Billings for a similar time and planned to go to dinner following our appointments. The subsequent day, we might shop for bridesmaid dresses before returning home to Miles City.
It just so happened that there was a Martina Liana trunk show on the day of my appointment. I had fallen in love with a dress I saw on an episode of “Say Yes to the Dress,” I even took pictures with my phone from the TV. I attempted to make an appointment at Kleinfeld Bridal (home of “Say Yes to the Dress”) while visiting Recent York in June of 2021, but it surely didn’t work out during our trip.
My wedding dress shopping party included my youngest sister and Maid of Honor, Dakota; my best friend of 17 years and bridesmaid, Tabatha; and my close friends and bridesmaids, Kenzie and Ally. My big sister Gina was also there to share this incredibly special occasion. We celebrated with glasses of champagne while I attempted on each dress, sharing the great thing about this moment. We shared how much we wished my mother might have been there but knew she was watching down from heaven.
I went into my appointment, showed my inspiration dress to my AMAZING bridal consultant Vicki, and she or he brought me straight to the Martina Liana gowns —I used to be immediately in love with all of them. I picked five to try on, and I almost said yes to number three, but it surely was my fifth and final gown, Martina Liana Style 1338 — I knew it was my dress! I felt beautiful, elegant, classy and sexy, all at the identical time! This dress had every little thing I wanted. The long train, the buttons down the back, the unbelievable lace, beading, detailing and the glitter and sparkle exceeded my inspiration dress— this dress felt prefer it was made for me!
Then Vicki stepped it up and brought a veil with glitter and sparkle for me to try on, and that was it — we were done! I said “I do“ to the dress even before they may ask me! The tears of joy I saw in everyone’s eyes only confirmed what I already knew— this was my dress!

How did you make your wedding personal to your style and love story?
Our theme was elegant and stylish— our colours were white, black, mauve, and grey. We made our wedding personal to our love story with different details. We had rainbow suckers on our treats table, iridescent rainbow champagne glasses engraved with Mrs. & Mrs., and our dogs wore bandanas that said “love is love” to represent our same-sex marriage and pride.
We had an indication made that outlined our love story, the primary day (03/26/2011), the yes day (12/31/2019) and the perfect day (08/13/2022). This sign showed once we began dating, when she proposed and once we finally said, “I do.”
We had one other special sign made to display our signature drinks named after our fur babies, who’re our world. The sign had hand-drawn portraits of our dogs: Roxy, Fox and Zoey, with their drinks by their picture. The Fox was a Moscow Mule, the Roxy was a Dirty Shirley and the Zoey was a Mimosa— all our favourite cocktails!
We had a bookshelf with pictures of our family members who couldn’t be there with us — my mother, Penney; Brittany’s mother, Dawn Dee; my grandparents and Brittany’s grandfather.
On my bouquet wrap, I carried a charm with an image of my mother on her wedding day and a brooch my cousin gave me. The brooch was an exquisite gold circle with blue sapphires that belonged to my mother’s mom. It reminded my cousin of a halo, and she or he thought it could be perfect for my “something blue.” My cousin also gave me a penny with the yr 1997 on it, the yr my mother became an angel.
I wore the penny in one among my shoes all night to maintain her close. I used to be also gifted a sixpence from my sister-in-law that I wore in my other shoe. I wore the ring that belonged to my mom that my father gave me. Brittany wore her mother’s black hills gold bracelet and had a charm inside her vest that had her favorite picture of her and her mother.

What was probably the most special memory from the day?
There have been so many special memories from our wedding day, it is difficult to narrow it all the way down to only one. If I had to decide on, it was when my wife and I were dancing for our first dance and my niece Paisley walked onto the dance floor. She handed us one among the flower petals she dropped as one among our flower girls after which lifted her arms into the air for me to select her up. She then wrapped her arms around my neck, squeezed tightly, and reached for my wife and wrapped her arms round her neck, and we finished our dance with Paisley in her arms. There was not a dry eye within the venue! We’re without end grateful for our photographer and members of the family who captured this incredibly special moment not only in pictures but video, too.

Cheers to Kasey + Brittany!
