Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta Wedding Cost & Packages: Real 2026 Prices

Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta is one of the few destination wedding resorts that publishes real package prices, which means this question can be answered with arithmetic instead of a range. Its wedding packages start at $649 for the two of you and run to $13,553 for 38 guests, and because the resort also publishes its per-additional-guest rates, you can work out the cost for any guest list.

Below is every published package, all seven ceremony and reception venues with real capacities, and what each package actually costs at 10, 20, 30, 50, 75 and 100 guests — calculated from the resort’s own base prices and add-on rates.

What a wedding at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta costs at your guest count

These are the resort’s three packages that include guests, extended using its own published per-additional-guest rates. Every figure is calculated, not estimated.

Guests Intimate Elegance
($1,649 base / 10, +$45)
Lavish & Opulent
($6,089 base / 20, +$105)
Luxury
($13,553 base / 38, +$105)
10 $1,649 ($165/guest)
20 $2,099 ($105/guest) $6,089 ($304/guest)
30 $2,549 ($85/guest) $7,139 ($238/guest)
38 $2,909 ($77/guest) $7,979 ($210/guest) $13,553 ($357/guest)
50 $3,449 ($69/guest) $9,239 ($185/guest) $14,813 ($296/guest)
75 $4,574 ($61/guest) $11,864 ($158/guest) $17,438 ($233/guest)
100 $5,699 ($57/guest) $14,489 ($145/guest) $20,063 ($201/guest)

All figures in USD, before tax and service charge — see the caveats below, which matter a great deal.

The pattern worth noticing: your per-guest cost falls as the list grows

Intimate Elegance costs $165 per guest at 10 people and $57 per guest at 100. Lavish & Opulent is $304 per guest at 20 and $145 at 100. This surprises most couples, but it is structural: the venue, the coordinator, the sound system, the ceremony décor and the cake cost the same whether 12 people watch or 90 do. Only the per-head cost scales.

And the one that costs you money: the upgrade gets more expensive the bigger your wedding

Intimate Elegance adds guests at $45 each. Lavish & Opulent and Luxury add them at $105 each. That difference compounds:

  • At 20 guests, Lavish & Opulent costs $3,990 more than Intimate Elegance.
  • At 100 guests, the same upgrade costs $8,790 more.

If you are choosing between tiers, decide with your real guest number in front of you. The gap is not a fixed premium — it more than doubles between a 20-person wedding and a 100-person one.

Every published package, and what is actually in it

Big Day Preview — and a $500 credit

Not a wedding package but worth knowing first: a two-night all-inclusive getaway for two, with best room availability at check-in, an exclusive resort tour with the on-site wedding planner, an optional menu tasting, and a $500 credit toward your wedding when you book. If you were going to visit before committing, this makes the trip close to free.

Just for the Two of You — $649

Built for elopements and ceremonies with no guests. Includes a symbolic ceremony, bouquet and boutonniere, wedding cake, sparkling wine toast, romantic turndown service, late checkout for the couple, a complimentary room upgrade, 10% off spa services, and an on-site wedding coordinator.

Intimate Elegance — $1,649 for 10 guests, $45 per additional guest

The value pick, and the reason this resort is worth a look for larger weddings on a tighter budget. Everything in Just for the Two of You, plus a private dinner reception, an open bar during the event, a sound system for the ceremony, hair and makeup for the bride, a couples massage, and 15% off spa services. A private reception at a $45 marginal rate is unusual.

Lavish & Opulent — $6,089 for 20 guests, $105 per additional guest

Everything in Intimate Elegance, plus a private cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, a three-course plated dinner, live music during the ceremony, a professional photographer for two hours, floral centerpieces for the reception tables, and a complimentary suite for the couple on the wedding night.

Luxury — $13,553 for 38 guests, $105 per additional guest

Everything in Lavish & Opulent, plus gourmet buffet or plated dinner options, a premium open bar, DJ services for the reception, a custom wedding cake design, a hair and makeup trial for the bride, and private check-in for the couple. Note the base covers 38 guests, so this tier only starts to make sense at a real guest list.

South Asian Wedding

The resort runs a dedicated South Asian wedding program for multi-event celebrations, with wedding specialists certified by the South Asian Wedding Institute. No price is published for this package, so it has to be quoted for your specific event structure. If you are planning a multi-day South Asian wedding, ask us for the current quote rather than assuming it maps to the tiers above.

All seven wedding venues, with real capacities

Venue Ceremony Cocktail Reception
Rios Ballroom 600 600 400
Pureza Beach 200 150 120
Blaze Beach 200 200 100
Sky Penthouse Terrace 100 90 70
Palmas Terrace 70 100 80
Gazebo 40
Sport’s Bar Terrace 20 50 50

A detail worth planning around: ceremony capacity and reception capacity are not the same number, and reception is almost always the smaller one. Pureza Beach seats 200 for a ceremony but only 120 for dinner. Blaze Beach holds 200 for a ceremony and 100 for dinner. If your list is 150, only the Rios Ballroom can seat everyone for the reception — which means an indoor ballroom dinner, not a beach one. Choose the venue on the reception number, then work backwards.

Matching your guest count to a venue

  • Up to 20: Sport’s Bar Terrace, the Gazebo, or a beach setup
  • Up to 40: Gazebo for the ceremony, Palmas Terrace or Sky Penthouse Terrace for dinner
  • Up to 70: Sky Penthouse Terrace — ceremony and reception in one place
  • Up to 100: Blaze Beach or Pureza Beach ceremony, then Blaze Beach or Palmas Terrace for dinner
  • Up to 120: Pureza Beach, the largest outdoor reception on the property
  • Over 120: Rios Ballroom is the only option that seats everyone for dinner

Three things that are not in the package price

1. Tax and service charge

Published wedding package prices in Mexico are quoted before tax and service charge. It is common to see around 16% tax plus a 15% service charge added, which puts the real total roughly a third above the headline. The $9,239 Lavish & Opulent figure for 50 guests is nearer $12,000 all in. Always ask whether a quote you are given is inclusive, and get the answer in writing.

2. Weekend dates cost more

Our listing publishes the resort’s midweek rate. Third-party wedding-package aggregators publish a weekend uplift for the same packages — roughly $6,669 for Lavish & Opulent and $14,222 for Luxury from Thursday midday through Sunday, against the $6,089 and $13,553 midweek figures. We have not confirmed those weekend numbers directly with the resort, so treat them as an indication that a premium exists rather than as a quote. Moving a wedding to a Tuesday or Wednesday is one of the few ways to cut real cost without cutting anything a guest would notice.

3. Rooms, flights and transfers

The package covers the wedding, not the trip. Your guests book and pay for their own rooms and flights. At 50 guests you are looking at roughly 20 to 25 rooms, which is enough volume to negotiate a group rate and earned complimentary nights — and that negotiation should happen at the same time as the wedding package, not after it.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a wedding at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta cost?

Published packages run from $649 for the couple alone to $13,553 for 38 guests. Using the resort’s own per-additional-guest rates, a 50-guest wedding costs $3,449 with the Intimate Elegance package, $9,239 with Lavish & Opulent, or $14,813 with Luxury. All figures are before tax and service charge, which in Mexico commonly add around a third.

What is the cheapest wedding package at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta that includes a reception?

Intimate Elegance, at $1,649 for 10 guests plus $45 per additional guest. It includes a private dinner reception, an open bar during the event, a ceremony sound system, hair and makeup for the bride and a couples massage. At 50 guests it totals $3,449, or about $69 per guest.

How many guests can get married at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta?

Up to 600. The Rios Ballroom holds 600 for a ceremony and 400 for a seated reception. The largest outdoor reception is Pureza Beach at 120 seated, so weddings above 120 guests need the ballroom for dinner.

Does Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta do South Asian weddings?

Yes. The resort runs a dedicated South Asian wedding program for multi-event celebrations, and its wedding specialists are certified by the South Asian Wedding Institute. No price is published for this package, so it needs to be quoted for your specific event structure.

Is there a site visit before booking?

Yes. The Big Day Preview is a two-night all-inclusive stay for two with a resort tour, an optional menu tasting, and a $500 credit toward your wedding when you book.

Do wedding package prices include my guests’ rooms?

No. Package prices cover the ceremony and, from Intimate Elegance upward, a private reception. Guest rooms and flights are booked separately, usually as a group block. A 50-guest wedding is typically 20 to 25 rooms, which is enough to negotiate group rates.
