The question that decides your sangeet
Ask every resort on this list for its entertainment curfew, in writing, per venue and per night, along with the cost of an extension. Outdoor spaces on this coast are routinely capped earlier than indoor rooms, and a sangeet or reception cut short at 10pm is not the night you are planning. It is the single most useful answer you can get before signing, and almost nobody volunteers it.
Morning events are the quiet advantage: a haldi or pithi at 10am is unaffected by any evening rule, so the curfew only ever bites on the two events that run late.
What none of these resorts publish
Capacities are published. Mandap specifications, open-flame policy for the havan, baraat routes and animal policy, and named South Asian planner certifications generally are not. We do not estimate any of those. Ask for each in writing, and treat a resort that will not put it in writing as having answered you.
The costs that are not in a package
A resort package covers the setup, ceremony structure, dinner and bar. It does not cover the photographer, videographer, DJ, dhol player, dance floor or uplighting, and bringing your own triggers an outside vendor fee on top of what the vendor charges you. The four figures to request together are the entertainment curfew, the outside vendor fee, the day pass rate for anyone not staying on site, and the legal ceremony fee.
