Why does 50 guests cost more per head than 30?

Under roughly 30–40 guests, most all-inclusive resorts will happily seat your group in a reserved section of an existing restaurant. Rough math: 50 guests generally translates to somewhere around 20–25 rooms, depending on how many couples, singles and families are on your list. Families with kids compress the count; a wedding party full of single friends expands it.
Here is how the block mechanics actually work at Mexico and Caribbean all-inclusives:
- Courtesy blocks are rare. Unlike a U.S. hotel, all-inclusive resorts generally require a contracted block with a deposit. You are committing, not reserving.
