Barceló Maya Grand Resort, on the Riviera Maya between Playa del Carmen and Tulum, prints its wedding prices. Its 2026 book has five packages, from one that costs nothing to one at $11,400, and a separate price list for Catholic weddings in the chapel inside the complex. This page puts them side by side, works out what 50 and 100 guests would cost, and lists the fees that sit outside every package.
The figures come from the resort’s 2026 wedding package book, which Barceló sent us in August 2026. The resort says prices can change without notice, so confirm them in writing before you book. What separates them
Coconut Paradise is free when you book at least 70 room nights in the Beach, Caribe, Colonial, Tropical or Palace hotels. It covers a coordinator, the ceremony location with a basic set-up, a sparkling toast, the cake, a bouquet and boutonniere, and a set menu dinner at a specialty restaurant for up to 25 guests. Ceremonies are at noon or 1 pm. The officiant and the legal paperwork are extra, and they are mandatory.
Blueberry Dream at $2,000 adds a justice of the peace or a non-denominational minister, witnesses, the marriage certificate and a 1 hour private cocktail with an open bar. It is capped at 25 guests, and the resort will not add a private reception to it.
Mint Breeze at $2,750 is the first package with a private reception: 3 hours in a banquet room with an open bar for 30 guests, live music at the ceremony, one table flower arrangement and a 40 minute couples massage.
Strawberry Passion at $4,300 moves the 3 hour dinner onto the beach with its own waiters, and adds a 50 minute massage, a manicure and pedicure, bridal makeup and a bridal hairstyle.
Tangerine Sunset at $11,400 adds a corner suite for the couple, a 1 hour private cocktail before a 3 hour beach dinner for 35, luxury tablecloths, charger plates, a decorated arch, two white lounge seats, a candlelight dinner for two and a facial for the bride.
Strawberry Passion and Tangerine Sunset both give a $100 credit toward the package for every 50 paid guests.

Those totals are the package price plus the extra-guest rate, before the $100 credits. Blueberry Dream and Coconut Paradise stop at 25 guests.
Catholic weddings in the resort chapel
The complex has its own chapel, Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, with a bilingual priest. Four of the packages can be performed by a priest, at a higher price:

Coconut Paradise is not available for a Catholic wedding. The chapel is open Monday to Saturday. You must be legally married in your own country first, and the original documents have to reach the church two months before the date. Legal wedding fees
If you want the marriage to be legal in Mexico, these are charged on top of the package:
- Documentation and legal ceremony: $750
- Blood tests, per couple: $230
- Judge transportation: $150
- Apostille seal sent to your country: $140
- Translation of the ceremony into English or French: $100
- Non-denominational minister: $400
The fees outside every package
- 80% of your guests must stay at the resort. Guests staying elsewhere pay a day pass.
- A $300 deposit holds the date and time. It is not refundable.
- Outside vendors pay the resort a fee: $700 for a photographer or videographer, $800 for décor, $900 for flowers, $800 per event for a DJ plus $100 for each extra hour, and $800 for hair and makeup.
- Guests not staying at the Palace pay $15 each for a ceremony at the Palace gazebo.
- Guests at the Palace get a premium bar. Guests in the Beach, Caribe, Colonial and Tropical hotels get the national bar.
- Once paid, packages and extras are not refundable. Bad weather moves the wedding to a backup location; it is not cancelled.
