A wedding at Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa in Puerto Morelos costs $1,399 for the two of you, $7,379 for fifty guests, or $10,399 for seventy-nine — before tax. Those are the resort’s own published figures, not estimates. Dreams Sapphire is one of the very few resorts on the Riviera Maya corridor that prints its whole wedding price ladder instead of hiding it behind a quote form, which makes it the single most useful reference point on this coast. Below is what each tier actually buys, where the ladder behaves strangely, and the one number — 79 — that quietly governs the entire thing.

These are rough prices, not quotes. Resort pricing moves by season, by year and by day of the week, and every figure below is the resort’s published pre-tax rate. Your real number depends on your date. WeddingPlan360 guarantees the lowest price on everything from guest rooms to the wedding package — if you find it cheaper, we will match or beat it. We also hold group rates, contracted concessions and special discounts that are never published publicly, so the price you get through us is frequently below the one on this page. Ask us for your date.

What are the published Dreams Sapphire wedding package prices?

Five packages, five different base guest counts. That last part matters more than the prices do, and it is where most couples misread the ladder.

Package Base price Guests included Each extra guest
Elope In Luxury $1,399 2 —
Wedding In Paradise $1,249 10 $16
Eternal Love $4,349 20 $101
Dulha & Dulhan $9,099 79 $219
Beyond Memorable $10,399 79 $137

Note the first oddity: Elope In Luxury costs $150 more than Wedding In Paradise while including eight fewer people. The inclusion lists are near-identical — symbolic ceremony, flowers, cake, sparkling wine toast, turndown service, late check-out, a spa discount and anniversary nights. If you are a couple of two and nobody is flying in, compare the two carefully before you assume the elopement package is the cheaper one. It is not.

What does a 50-guest wedding at Dreams Sapphire cost?

Fifty guests is the most common destination wedding size we book, so here is the arithmetic run properly. The all-in column applies the roughly 31% that Mexico commonly adds on top — about 16% tax plus a 15% service charge. Our listing, like almost every resort’s, publishes the pre-tax number with no qualifier.

Package at 50 guests Pre-tax Approx. all-in Per guest
Wedding In Paradise $1,889 ~$2,475 $38
Eternal Love $7,379 ~$9,666 $148
Dulha & Dulhan $9,099 ~$11,920 $182
Beyond Memorable $10,399 ~$13,623 $208

Wedding In Paradise at $1,889 looks like the bargain of the century, and it is the number a competitor blog would quote at you without explanation. Here is the honest version: Wedding In Paradise contains no reception. No private dinner, no bar, no cocktail hour, no chairs, no sound system, no décor beyond the couple’s flowers. That $16 per additional guest is cheap because the additional guest is receiving a slice of cake and a glass of sparkling wine, then eating dinner in the resort’s regular restaurants like any other holidaymaker.

That is a completely legitimate way to get married — plenty of couples want the ceremony and nothing staged afterwards — but it is not the same product as Eternal Love, which at $7,379 for fifty is buying a private cocktail hour with live music, a private dinner reception, ceremony décor for twenty chairs, a semi-private rehearsal dinner, video, and fifty printed photographs with an album. Compare like with like or the ladder will mislead you.

Why does Beyond Memorable cost only $91 more than Eternal Love at 79 guests?

This is the finding worth the whole page, and it exists because the two packages escalate at completely different rates.

Eternal Love starts at $4,349 for twenty and charges $101 for every guest after that. Beyond Memorable starts at $10,399 and includes seventy-nine guests in the base price — it does not charge a per-guest fee until you cross 79. So Eternal Love climbs steadily while Beyond Memorable sits flat, and they converge almost exactly at the top of Beyond Memorable’s included band:

Guests Eternal Love Beyond Memorable Difference
20 $4,349 $10,399 +$6,050
50 $7,379 $10,399 +$3,020
79 $10,308 $10,399 +$91
100 $12,429 $13,276 +$847

At seventy-nine guests, upgrading from Eternal Love to Beyond Memorable costs ninety-one dollars. For that $91 you move from one private event to three — Beyond Memorable adds a one-hour welcome cocktail party and a two-hour rehearsal dinner on top of a three-hour dinner reception — and you gain a private bar with a bartender pouring top-shelf spirits, a dessert station, upgraded sweetheart-table linens, a shoe check station for beach ceremonies, hydrotherapy access and a 20% spa discount extended to both sets of parents, and breakfast in bed with mimosas the morning after.

It also includes $100 in resort coupons per guest, which at seventy-nine guests is $7,900 of face value attached to a $91 upgrade. Resort coupons are usually restricted to spa treatments, shops and certain excursions rather than being cash, so treat that as a perk with conditions rather than money — ask us exactly what they cover for your dates before you weigh them. But even discounted heavily, the maths is not close.

The practical consequence: if your guest list is anywhere north of about 70, quoting Eternal Love is almost always the wrong recommendation. This is the sort of thing that only surfaces if someone runs the whole ladder rather than reading the tier names, and it is the single best argument for having a planner do the arithmetic before you sign.

What happens when you cross 79 guests?

Seventy-nine is not an arbitrary number. It is a room.

Dreams Sapphire’s Vista Del Mar venue holds up to 200 for a ceremony and 120 for a cocktail hour, but its reception capacity is exactly 79. The package bands are built around the venue, not the other way round. That means crossing 79 guests is not simply a per-head surcharge — it is a conversation about which space you are in, and it changes the character of the day.

The good news is that Dreams Sapphire has genuine large-format options, which is not true of every resort that sells a big package. The Beach and the Beach Terrace each take 300 for a full reception. The Ballroom seats 300, and the Preferred Pool takes 180. That Ballroom is the property’s real answer to weather: a 200-person outdoor reception at a resort with no indoor room of that size has no rain plan worth the name, and the absence of one is a question worth asking anywhere you are considering.

Above 79 the two big packages also swap places, slowly. Beyond Memorable charges $137 per extra guest and Dulha & Dulhan charges $219, so the $1,300 gap between their bases erodes as the list grows — the two cross at 95 guests, where Beyond Memorable is $12,591 and Dulha & Dulhan is $12,603. Below 95, the South Asian package is the cheaper of the two. Above it, the standard one is.

Why is the South Asian package cheaper than the standard one?

Dulha & Dulhan is $9,099 for up to 79 guests — $1,300 less than Beyond Memorable for the same guest band, and it covers multiple events across several days rather than one. The published inclusion list names mehndi arrangements, a sangeet or garba setup, a baraat procession, a mandap, the ceremony itself and a reception with traditional cuisine, plus a coordinator familiar with South Asian traditions and specialty menu options.

Couples often assume the cultural package carries a premium. At this property, at this guest count, it does not. If you are planning a South Asian wedding at Dreams Sapphire, price Dulha & Dulhan first — and if you are planning a Western wedding for under 95 guests and want more than one event, it is at least worth asking what the package will and will not flex on.

Two honest cautions. First, the published Dulha & Dulhan inclusion list does not name a pandit, priest or officiant. Neither do the standard packages, which sell a symbolic ceremony. Assume the religious officiant is your booking and your cost until someone puts it in writing. Second, this package is priced on a season-and-year grid at AMR’s other properties — the same package at a sister resort moved by nearly $3,000 across 2024 to 2026 depending on season and day of week — so the $9,099 is a snapshot, not a fixture. Our fuller treatment of these packages across Mexico and the Caribbean is in South Asian destination wedding packages: real prices, real venues.

Where can you actually hold the wedding?

Twelve venues, published with real capacities. This is the full list.

Venue Ceremony Cocktail Reception
Beach 300 300 300
Beach Terrace 300 300 300
Ballroom — 300 300
Vista Del Mar 200 120 79
Sky Rooftop 200 180 140
Preferred Pool — 200 180
Wedding Gazebo 160 — —
Our Lady of Izamal Catholic Chapel 150 — —
Yaxche Garden 120 80 —
Indigo Ballroom 80 65 40
Vista del Mar Indoor — 80 50
Pool Gazebo 15 — —

Two things stand out. There is a Catholic chapel on the property — Our Lady of Izamal, seating 150 — which is genuinely uncommon at an all-inclusive of this tier and matters enormously if a church ceremony is non-negotiable for your family. A Catholic wedding has its own paperwork and its own lead time, separate from anything civil, so raise it early — we compared every resort chapel in the directory in which destination wedding resorts actually have a Catholic chapel, and Our Lady of Izamal is the largest one published as Catholic.

And the Sky Rooftop, at 140 for a reception, is the venue most couples overlook. It is the one space that reads as neither beach nor ballroom, and for a wedding in the 100-to-140 range it solves a problem the other rooms do not.

What is not in the price?

Everything on this page is the resort’s published pre-tax package rate. The things that routinely turn a $10,399 package into a materially bigger invoice are not on the listing at all:

  • Tax and service. Roughly 31% in Mexico, applied to the package and to most extras.
  • Day passes for guests not staying at the resort. At all-inclusives these run into the hundreds per head, and they are the most common budget surprise we see.
  • Outside vendor fees, if you want your own photographer or your own DJ rather than the resort’s.
  • A legal ceremony. The packages here sell a symbolic ceremony. A legally binding Mexican marriage is a separate process with its own fee and its own document requirements — see symbolic or legal: what “getting married” actually means in Mexico.
  • The room block itself, which is the largest number in any destination wedding and the one with the most negotiating room in it.

We wrote a whole piece on this because it is where budgets break: what an all-inclusive wedding package doesn’t include.

How does Dreams Sapphire compare to its sister resorts?

This is where the published ladder becomes useful well beyond this one property. Dreams Natura Resort & Spa and Secrets Moxché Playa del Carmen both sell packages under the same names — Eternal Love, Beyond Memorable — with the same signature perks, right down to the $100 in resort coupons per guest. Neither publishes a price.

Dreams Sapphire does. So the ladder on this page is, in practice, the reference price for the whole package family along this stretch of coast. If you are quoted Beyond Memorable at a sister property, you now know what the same package costs at Sapphire and can ask the obvious question. That is a much stronger negotiating position than couples usually have, and it is the reason we point people at this listing even when they end up booking elsewhere.

Worth knowing about the property itself: Dreams Sapphire has 488 rooms and is family-friendly rather than adults-only, which is the right call for a multi-generational guest list and the wrong one if you wanted a quiet adults-only week. It sits in Puerto Morelos, between Cancun airport and Playa del Carmen — a genuinely convenient transfer, and a calmer town than either.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a wedding at Dreams Sapphire for 50 guests?

Between $1,889 and $10,399 pre-tax depending on the package — roughly $2,475 to $13,623 once about 31% tax and service is applied. The realistic middle is Eternal Love at $7,379 pre-tax, which includes a private cocktail hour and a private dinner reception. The cheapest tier includes no reception at all.

Which Dreams Sapphire package is the best value?

It depends entirely on headcount. Under about 40 guests, Eternal Love. Between roughly 70 and 79, Beyond Memorable — it costs only $91 more than Eternal Love at 79 guests and includes two additional private events. Over 95 guests, Beyond Memorable again, because its $137 per-guest rate is lower than Dulha & Dulhan’s $219.

Why do the packages stop at 79 guests?

Because the Vista Del Mar venue caps a reception at exactly 79. The pricing bands are built around venue capacity. Going above 79 means moving to the Beach, the Beach Terrace or the Ballroom — all of which take 300 — as well as paying the per-guest rate.

Are these prices before tax?

Yes. Every figure the resort publishes is pre-tax. Mexico commonly adds around 16% tax plus a 15% service charge, a roughly 31% uplift. Published prices also typically reflect midweek dates; Saturdays cost more at most resorts. Confirm both against your actual date.

Can we have a legal wedding at Dreams Sapphire?

The published packages include a symbolic ceremony. A legally binding civil marriage in Quintana Roo is arranged separately, requires documents prepared in advance and premarital medical tests taken in Mexico, and carries its own fee. Most couples marry legally at home and hold the symbolic ceremony here. There is also a Catholic chapel on site seating 150, which is a separate process again.

Can WeddingPlan360 get us a better price?

Usually, yes. We guarantee the lowest price on everything from guest rooms to the wedding package — if you find it cheaper, we will match or beat it. We also hold group rates, contracted concessions and special discounts that are never published publicly, and on a wedding this size the room block is where most of the savings actually live.

The short version

Dreams Sapphire is one of the few resorts on this coast that will tell you what a wedding costs before you enquire, and the ladder rewards reading closely. Elope In Luxury is priced above a package that includes eight more people. Wedding In Paradise is cheap because it contains no reception. Beyond Memorable costs $91 more than Eternal Love at 79 guests and includes two extra private events. The South Asian package undercuts the standard one until 95 guests. And every band in the ladder is shaped by a room that seats 79.

None of that is visible from the tier names. Tell us your date and your headcount and we will run the real numbers for your guest list — including the room block, which is the part of the budget nobody publishes and the part we negotiate hardest on.

Also useful: what a 50-guest destination wedding costs across seven resorts, our Puerto Vallarta cost guide, and Indian wedding ceremonies in Cancun.

A note on the prices shown here

Every rate on this page is published by the resort and is included to give you a rough idea of pricing only. Resort pricing changes without notice and varies by date, season, day of the week, guest count, room availability and exchange rate. Figures may also be quoted before tax and service charge.

Nothing on this page is a quote, an offer or a guarantee of availability. For a current, all-in figure for your date and guest count, book a free planning consultation and we will confirm the real numbers with the resort.
